Royal Adelaide Professional Baking Show

The NBIA are the presenting sponsor of the Royal Adelaide Professional Baking Show. The show takes place as part of the Royal Adelaide Show. 

The competition is open to all professional bakers, baking apprentices/trainees, and enrolled TAFE students. Competing in the Royal Adelaide Professional Baking Show provides and opportunity to promote your skills as a baker and your baking business to attendees of the Royal Adelaide Show.

The bread classes include unsliced white sandwich loaf, unsliced white hitop, light rye loaf, continental loaf, artisan style bread, baguette, and ciabatta. The savoury pastry classes include traditional meat pies, gourmet meat pies, standard pasties, and standard sausage rolls. The patisserie classes include decorated eclairs, individual decorated tart, and decorated round mud cake. The sweet goods classes include vanilla slice, yeast raised finger buns, and yeast raised chocolate donuts. 

Other categories include the gluten free category where the product is not specified and the celebrity judge category where the entry is one sweet product and one savoury product. Apprentices who enter the apprentice category are required to produce and submit two half French sticks and four Danish pastries.

All exhibits will be judged by individuals from within the industry against several criteria as outlined in the Schedule.
