Rustica Sourdough Bakery & Café is looking for an apprentice Baker and a Apprentice Pastry Chef to join our team at our new Bakery on Chapel St, South Yarra. 

We are seeking a motivated and committed candidate to complete a 3 year certificate 3 in retail baking. The successful applicant will need a genuine interest and passion for creating artisan Breads or Pastries. The apprentice undertaking this role will be trained (on the job) and develop all the required skills to become a highly skilled Artisan Baker or Pastry Chef.

Your ability to listen to instructions and be a quick learner is a must in a very fast paced work environment.

Rustica is a Artisan bakery, which began from scratch just over 10 years ago. The wholesale bread and pastry component of the business has expanded rapidly, due to the quality of the traditional products, which are distributed to cafes/restaurants in the CBD and inner Melbourne suburbs and Rustica’s other retail outlets. 

Some baking experience or a demonstrated interest in baking is preferred.

Hours of work – minimum 38hrs – Morning/Day/Afternoon shifts
